Marc has just returned from the first international trip of the year, where he joined AXIS Dance Company in his role as Guest Artistic Director in Israel for an Arts Envoy programme of cultural exchange between the United States and Israel. AXIS toured to Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Lod, Sakhnin, Kiriat Haim and Arara visiting Jewish and Arab communities providing lecture demonstrations, workshops, masterclasses, teacher training, round table discussions on integrated dance practice and performing AXIS repertoire organised by the United States Embassy, Israel.
Moving forward on our Brazil/UK collaboration, Marc will be joined by Musician Natalia Mallo and Dancer Gisele Calazans from Brazil to continue their collaboration for a new work ‘MayBe’. This creative collaboration, in partnership with the British Council began in June 2015 at Museum of Image and Sound, Sao Paulo, Brazil and the team are excited to get together again for the next stage of the process. The work will be touring in 2016 so watch this space! More information can be found on the British Counci/Transform webpage
Following on from the international success of the dance for camera film ‘Uath Lochans’, filmed by Katrina McPherson and edited by Simon Fildes, we will begin new research and development with support from National Theatre of Scotland to work with film maker Simon Fildes exploring new ideas for a future collaborative work incorporating film and dance.
Marc has been appointed Movement Director for M3 Rockit for the next 6 months working with Paragon Music
