Dame Evelyn Glennie

Something is Brewing…

In our new work Fusional Fragments Marc Brew worked closely with composer Philip Sheppard and acclaimed composer and percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie, a cast of five dancers to explore the concept of fusion of life fragments between classical ballet and contemporary dance.

We go back into the studio in June and July to develop the work to integrate Dame Evelyn Glennie into the work to perform live with the dancer’s and her instrument’s on stage. Evelyn is a great performer and to incorporate her physicality of performance finesse into the work and how she may initiate and respond to the dancers and the space will be very exciting. It will be opportunity for the stage to come alive, to see music move and be charged visually by the sounds of music played live by one of the UK’s finest and best-loved musicians, Dame Evelyn Glennie – a Grammy Award-winner and BAFTA nominee at Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank, London on Friday 31st August 2012.
