Commissioned by Hessisches Staatsballet as part of the double bill Extensions also featuring Martin Harriague’s ‘Of Prophets and Puppets’
It received its premiere on 8th April, 2023 as part of “Timelessness” at the Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden.
“Timelessness” is a multi-layered triple bill dance evening consisting of “exisTence” as well as the premiere performances of Xie Xin’s “Timeless” and Eyal Dadon’s “Boléro”.
Man’s interaction with nature in times of economic profiteering and climate change is the theme of Marc Brew’s “exisTence”: the choreography sequentially displays the ambivalent forces of sun, water and wind, embodied by various motion dynamics.
The Race presented by The Ark, Dublin Dance Festival and Arts & Disability Ireland.
