Board Members
Marc Brew Company is a contemporary dance company, led by disabled dance/choreographer Marc Brew, working across Scotland and internationally. Since its inception, the company has blazed a trail of high quality work, bringing together exceptional artists with and without disabilities to create powerful and engaging performances.
We receive project funding from Creative Scotland and British Council and are members of the Federation of Scottish Theatres. We are in the process of becoming a charity and are looking for dynamic individuals to join us as Board members and as Chair.
The Board will meet quarterly in Glasgow. Directors are expected to devote a small number of hours between meetings to board business. This is a voluntary position and board members receive no remuneration.
We are particularly interested in people with some, or all, of the following:
• An interest and a passion in the arts, particularly contemporary dance and disability advocacy
• Business and cultural connections
• Marketing, fundraising, sponsorship experience
• Arts in Education
• Prior experience of being on a board

Company Ambassadors
Marc Brew Company is a contemporary dance company, led by disabled dance/choreographer Marc Brew, working across Scotland and internationally. Since its inception, the company has blazed a trail of high quality work, bringing together exceptional artists with and without disabilities to create powerful and engaging performances.
We are looking for Ambassadors of any age who are active on social media to help us raise the profile of the company and engage more widely with people. Ambassadors will be given behind the stage access to the company during its creative process, opportunities to watch rehearsals, meet the artists and to see the show(s). Ambassadors are expected to devote a small number of hours to help raise the company’s profile. This is a voluntary position and Ambassadors receive no remuneration. We will be seeking funding to enable us to cover the costs of your travel and any other reasonable expenses.
Current projects:
MayBe – collaboration with Brazilian artists Natalia Mallo, Giselle Calazans and Mirella Brandi (supported by Creative Scotland, British Council and Tramway)

BREWBAND – music/dance collaboration where boundaries are blurred. Artists Marc Brew (dancer/choreographer), Graeme Smillie (Bass – Unwinding Hours, The Vaselines, Emma Pollock, A Mote Of Dust), Jill O’Sullivan (BDY_PRTS, Sparrow And The Workshop, Peter Kelly (Galchen/The Kills/ Jonnie Common), Martyn Garside (San Francisco Ballet, Balletboyz), Marta Masiero (Scottish Dance Theatre), Alice Shepherd (Axis Dance Company).
What we would look for from you:
• advocating for the company in your area and on your social media networks
• telling people about MBC’s creative processes and upcoming performances, outreach and other events
• giving us feedback on our marketing
