We are very excited to be previewing Boys Don’t Dance this month at multiple venues across Scotland!
Boys Don’t Dance is a poignant dance theatre show by Marc Brew, reflecting on his journey as a boy who defied society’s expectations to embrace his love for dance. The performance unfolds through a tapestry of memories, shedding light on the loneliness of being the only boy in a rural Australian town who dared to dance.
Everyone is welcome at Boys Don’t Dance! Every performance is a relaxed show, and also has a sensory access table available in the foyer, an access announcement before the show starts, creative captioning, audio description, and creative translation of signed performances.
We have created a Social Story for Boys Don’t Dance, so everyone can familiarise themselves with what the show is about and what to expect before stepping into the theatre. Please have a look through this PDF to learn more about Boys Don’t Dance.
We also want to make your experience at the venues enjoyable and as stress-free as possible. We have highlighted below Access Guides for each venue and linked any access information the venues have present on their websites.
If you have any specific questions at all please do not hesitate to be in touch with Marc Brew Company or directly to the venue. We hope to see you soon at Boys Don’t Dance!
