The company offers masterclasses in contemporary dance, classical ballet, Improvisation and choreography.
The company’s methodology uses very clear visual imagery, description and demonstrations in our teachings with the use of set exercises, improvisation and movement translation of existing traditional dance techniques.
We not only teach dancers to dance but to enjoy the freedom of movement and expression through our teaching methods that enables the dancers to think for themselves and apply our teachings to the best that they can do. We believe through difference there are possibilities.
Un-Label emphasises that everyone can and should have access to culture and that inclusion and accessibility are feasible. In Autumn 2022 Marc was invited to host a masterclass with Un-label to bring together people with and without disabilities to learn and grow in a safe and fun environment. This also allowed Marc to share his inclusive practice internationally.
FORM Dance Projects launched its new annual Dance Festival IDEA – Independent Dance Exchange Australia. For four weeks across the Greater Sydney area, IDEA’24 featured an intensive program of public performances, workshops and seminars held by local and global leadership across First Nations practice, contemporary dance and physical theatre.
It was so wonderful for Marc Brew Company to be in the studio at Sydney Opera House as part of the IDEA ’24 Festival, bringing the dance community together and the opportunity to share and learn with artists.
Eisenhower Dance Detroit, a performing arts organisation, serving their community in two ways – the professional company performs locally and tours nationally and internationally, and the School of Eisenhower Dance Detroit training the next generation of dance artists in an inclusive and supportive environment.
During Marc’s time with Eisenhower Dance Detroit, he hosted a masterclass the at Oakland University, a community workshop for Dance Mobility, and worked on the research and development of a new piece of work.
