In our workshops and residencies, we want to bring the joy of dance back to all. We are very excited about bringing different people together in an inclusive environment where there is an exchange as we collaborate.
Together we explore the possibilities of difference through movement using various tasks, improvisation and learning set material and sharing of choreographic tools in making work. We create a trusting and creative environment for all to learn and guide the dancers through movement structures that are supported. There is no wrong, just an opportunity to offer, try, receive and share.
We create a fun learning experience that develops and challenges movement choices and brings people together as a community. This builds confidence, trust and openness to explore the possibilities of dance and disability.
Marc Brew Company was invited by the Busan Cultural Foundation to visit and share our practice.
Our Artistic Director Marc Brew, and our Engagement Manager Hayley Earlam, led a week-long residency with Holdingturn, a Busan-based inclusive dance group. The residency concluded with a showcase performance of the work created, which explored Busan’s connection to water — weaving a new work that reflects shared journeys, multicultural dialogue, and the beauty of inclusive movement.
Also during our time in Busan, we hosted an Inclusive Dance Workshop with ‘Beyond Limits: Global Inclusive Arts Workshop’. This created an inclusive arts ecosystem where everyone can come together. Marc and Susan also spoke at an Inclusive Artists Gathering, as part of the ‘Beyond Limits: Global Inclusive Arts Workshop’, creating space to share, learn and grow together through inclusive practice.
It was an inspiring week working with, and meeting so many artists and we hope to continue to collaborate in the future. Watch the video to hear more.
During the 2024 touring of an Accident a Life, Marc and the team facilitated workshops in Zurich, Den Haag and Geneva sharing our inclusive practice programme and knowledge of dance.
Creating an environment that is fun for all, to guide dancers through movement and to feel part of a community.
At Marc Brew Company we love to connect with artists all around the world. When touring our work, we encourage the opportunity to facilitate workshops and explore the possibilities of difference through movement.
In September 2025 Marc Brew was invited to facilitate a 2-day inclusive dance workshop, co-facilitated by IDC Artistic Director Rhona Coughlan. This was hosted by Inclusive Dance Cork. This is a project of Dance Cork Firkin Crane supported by Rethink Ireland’s Resilient Cork Fund 2025, with generous support from local donors and partners.
What an incredible group and energy that arrived for Marc’s highly anticipated workshop. The possibilities and imagination that emerged from starting exercises and choreographic frameworks created so many beautiful moments, rich play, and collective dynamics.
