★★★★★ “Deeply moving, both in its movement and in showing what is possible” – Theater Paradijs.
Residence has received an incredible response at its world premiere. We are very grateful for the thoughtful reviews and the audiences who’ve shared this journey so far.
Residence – A poignant duet created by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui with and for Marc Brew and Nelson Parrish Earl.
A duet about proximity, loss, and building a new home. What does it mean to be there for someone who has lost everything? How do you share space when self-evident things disappear? How do you build a safe place together – a home?
Residence as part of LARBI is touring theatres across the Netherlands until 4th June 2026 – visit www.introdans.nl for tickets and more information.

Our very own Artistic Director Marc Brew, and our Executive Producer Susan Hay, facilitated Open Conversations: Access in the Room at Studio Theatres. This free session allowed Marc and Susan to talk about how they build inclusive practice into every stage of making work.
Drawing on years of experience creating and producing performance with disabled and non-disabled artists from rehearsal room to tour, they shared practical insights into planning, problem-solving and supporting collaborators so that access is part of the process, not an afterthought. Thank you to all who joined this invaluable session!
“Thank you for making it such a generous and informative experience for everyone in the room. I enjoyed your wise but playful and open presence and I felt that really useful learning was shared for people to take away.” – Audience feedback

Our Executive Producer, Susan attended both the Allies in Activism event – exploring how we can build a safer, more supportive arts sector for D/deaf, disabled and neurodivergent artists, arts workers and audiences, and the Young Audience Network Scotland launch this month.
Hayley has been leading engagement and training activities in Aberdeen to help develop a short curtain-raiser piece, and in Edinburgh supporting facilitators to engage with schools through workshops and activities, both in connection with our new children’s production Boys Don’t Dance.
